WISE Guys and Gals as STEM Learners
Members at the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich, in grades 5th to 8th, have the opportunity to participate in, Wise Guys and Gals—Boys and Girls as WISEngineering STEM Learners. This program is available thanks to partnership with Hofstra University’s Center of STEM Research. This STEM program provides boys and girls, a free opportunity to participate in hands-on engineering design activities using cognitive thinking, problem solving and collaboration with peers.
Youth will be using the WISEngineering online learning environment that is secure to the outside world, but open to the Boys & Girls Club and to colleagues at Hofstra. With this secure environment, youth will be able to share photos and even videos of their work with each other, their parents and family.
